Inauguration ceremony and INFECTION 2023 Conference

S.H. Ho Research Centre for Infectious Diseases, a new research centre of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was inaugurated on 27 June 2023. The Centre serves as a hub for CUHK’s researchers to collaborate with clinicians and health professionals locally and internationally to develop innovative solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of infectious diseases in the coming years.

On the same day, Annual Scientific Meeting – INFECTION 2023 served both for education purpose and also for networking with clinicians, research scientists and other health professionals. The meeting was held in Shaw Auditorium, School of Public Health Building, Prince of Wales Hospital. The function featured state-of-art presentation by 12 renowned local and international speakers covering the subjects of COVID-19, HIV/STI, Microbes & Emerging Infections and Infectious Diseases in Healthcare Setting. The event, alongside exhibitions, attracted 280 registrants from Hong Kong and other cities/countries including Mainland China and Macau.
